EN 310 – Wood-Based Panels: Determination of Modulus of Elasticity in Bending and of Bending Strength

EN 310 is a European Standard that specifies a method for determining the apparent modulus of elasticity in flatwise bending and the bending strength of wood-based panels. It applies to panels with a nominal thickness of 3 mm or greater, including plywood, particleboard, fiberboard, and oriented strand board used in construction, furniture, and interior applications.

The method involves preparing standardized specimens and applying a bending load while measuring deflection and breaking force.
