GOST 11262-2017 specifies the procedure for determining the tensile properties of plastics, including tensile strength, elongation at break, and stress–strain behavior under controlled loading conditions. The method is widely used in quality control and material characterization across industries where polymer performance is critical.

This 2017 edition is the current valid version of the standard, replacing the earlier 11262-80, which has been withdrawn.
