ASTM D638

ASTM D638 - Tensile Properties of Plastics

ASTM D638 is a standard test method used to determine the tensile properties of both unreinforced and reinforced plastics. It applies to plastic materials in the form of standard dumbbell-shaped specimens, which are tested under specific conditions of pretreatment, temperature, humidity, and machine speed. A universal testing machine is required to perform this test.
