EN ISO 29469:2022 is a European Standard that specifies the equipment and procedures for determining the compression behaviour of thermal insulating products. It applies to insulation boards, slabs, or panels, and is used to evaluate compressive stress in short-term loading applications or during compressive creep tests.

In a Tram testing system, the thickness of the specimen is measured automatically at a pre-programmed contact load. The specimen is then compressed by 10%, and all required calculations—including Sigma₁₀, Sigma_e and Sigma_m—are performed automatically. This ensures accurate, repeatable measurement of the material’s compressive performance for design and quality control purposes.
